Jack Dowen (1917-2015) began his life in Scouting as a Wold Cub in 1925. After serving in World War II he was asked to become Leader with the 10th Cheltenham (All Saints) Troop and continued to do so until he became 65.
He served on the District Executive Committee for many years and became President of the All Saints Group and a District Vice President. On his 98th Birthday, in March 2015, Jack was presented with the Silver Acorn for his services to Scouting.
